GME AWARDED THREE NEW RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTS IN SOUTH JERSEY

GME announced that it has been awarded three new residential contracts to provide curbside trash removal and recycling services in Mount Laurel, Willingboro and Washington Township, New Jersey. The contracts for Mount Laurel and Willingboro began on June 1, 2016, and the contract in Washington Township began on August 1, 2016.

“We are excited to expand our services into Mount Laurel, Willingboro and Washington Township,” said Glen Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gold Medal. “Over the past two years we have worked hard to provide excellent customer service in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey and this opportunity allows us to further enhance our presence in the region. Our continued growth is the result of a steadfast and tireless effort by the Gold Medal Team. We look forward to providing our quality service to the residents of these communities. Congratulations to our team on a smooth seamless start up and transition of these contracts.”

Mount Laurel, Willingboro and Washington Township will be serviced by Gold Medal’s South Jersey Hauling Division in Deptford, New Jersey. Gold Medal will purchase 13 new compressed natural gas (“CNG”) trucks to provide the service for these contracts. CNG is an alternative to diesel fuel that is made by compressing natural gas to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure. CNG trucks are cleaner, quieter and environmentally friendly.
