CNG is a readily available alternative to gasoline that’s made by compressing natural gas to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure. Consisting mostly of methane, CNG is odorless, colorless and tasteless. It’s drawn from domestically drilled natural gas wells or in conjunction with crude oil production.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, one Compressed Natural Gas(CNG) powered truck deployed is equal to planting 600 mature trees annually.

Gold Medal’s fleet is 20% compressed natural gas (“CNG”) refuse trucks. CNG is a readily available alternative to diesel fuel that is made by compressing natural gas to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure. CNG trucks are cleaner, quieter and environmentally friendly. GME has plans to continue adding more CNG trucks to its fleet.

Gold Medal is pleased to be transitioning from diesel fuel to clean-burning natural gas. Gold Medal is committed to doing its part to reduce America’s dependence on imported oil. The Company is committed to helping ensure a clean air environment for the communities we serve.
