Gold Medal operates two Material Recovery Facility (“MRF”) equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that provides recycling services. The Philadelphia MRF is 75,000 square feet situated on nine acres, and is one of the largest MRFs in the Philadelphia market. The Wilmington, Delaware MRF is 65,000 square feet situated on seven acres.
Gold Medal’s MRFs have a wide array of equipment designed to sort and separate different kinds of recyclables and turn them into raw materials for manufacturers. The MRFs process several different grades of paper, cardboard, glass and plastic containers, aluminum, and steel cans and printer ink.
Additionally, construction and demolition debris wood, concrete, bulk plastic, and steel is separated and sorted for beneficial reuse.
